Damar Hamlin’s Cardiac Arrest: Recovery From A Heart Attack Survivor’s Perspective
Everyone who loves football is aware of Damar Hamlin’s collapse on the field during the Monday Night Football game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals because of a cardiac arrest.
What he’s going through sounds somewhat similar to what I went through. I am a heart attack and TBI (traumatic brain injury) survivor. This is a video from a heart attack and TBI survivor’s perspective. I talk about what I went through, and what it’s like to recover from a heart attack and deal with TBI. I created the video while Hamlin was still in the hospital and everyone was unsure whether he’d live, let alone play football again.
At the time of this writing, Hamlin had left the hospital and returned home to recover. He appears to have made a remarkable recovery while in the hospital, even asking if the Bills won the game, showing he was aware of his surroundings and what was going on at the time of his collapse. That’s pretty amazing.
