Ukraine’s Zelenskyy Shows Us How Terrible Our Leaders Are

With those few words, Zelenskyy became a global hero. He has to know Ukraine can hold out against a much superior Russian military for only so long. It appears he’s chosen to die for his country instead of taking a plane ride somewhere safe like so many other so-called leaders in similar situations.

My first thought upon hearing his words were, “That guy owns the biggest set of balls on this planet.” My second thought, “Is there a single government official in the United States, at any level — federal, state, or city — that would do the same?”

No. I don’t think there is. You might exert a fair amount of mental effort coming up with a name or two, but I’m guessing you’d spend most of your time thinking about reasons to defend your leaders based upon your party membership. We always defend our own and attack the other side, regardless of whether they’re right or wrong, invertebrate or not.

Would Donald Trump do anything like this? No. It should be clear to everyone on this planet that Donald Trump cares only about himself. He is a person so shallow, so self-absorbed, and so gutless he can’t admit defeat in an election. Imagine how…
